The Youth in Government Resource Staff is made up of college students and adults who love the program enough to come back and volunteer at various conferences throughout the year. They help facilitate activities both during the day and at night. Their goal is to help the YMCA staff and advisors ensure a safe and enjoyable YiG experience for the delegates.

How do you become a Resource Staff member?

After graduating high school, you must express interest to Executive Director, Mary Capers Bledsoe. She can be contacted at:

mcbledsoe@ymcagreenville.org

Also, there is an application process that includes a written application, Code of Ethics agreement, and a Credit, Criminal, and Driving Record check. Finally, you must commit to YMCA training at the Pawley's Island Retreat or make-up session prior to the High School Model Legislature Conference.

Download application here and return to the state office!
