Responsibilities of an advisor:

o       Oversee club meetings and provides supervision at club activities.

o       Encourage students to take responsibility.

o       Assist club officers in planning and promoting club activities and developing the yearly calendar, to ensure that all activities are consistent with the goals of the club.

o       Communicate regularly with club members and parents.

o       Attend all Youth in Government club meetings and training sessions

o       Make sure that all application forms and fees are collected and returned in a timely manner.

o       Act as liaison with the SC YMCA Youth Legislature Director and staff, and conveys problems, questions and/or concerns as may be necessary
